Federal Funding

- Grants.gov provides a search engine for federal grant opportunities. You can also sign up to receive notifications by email. Visit their website for information.
- The U.S. Department of Education publishes funding forecasts on its website.
- Safe Schools/Healthy Students is a collaborative funding opportunity offered through the U.S. Department of Education, Health and Human Services and Justice. Information about Safe Schools/Healthy Students is located within the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration website.
Private Funding
- The Foundation Center provides information about foundation funders. Visit their website for more information and to sign up for their Education Funding Watch newsletter.
- The Grantsmanship Center offers training and other fundraising resources to its members. Its website includes a free state-by-state review of foundations and corporate giving programs.
- For the past several years, The Sprint Foundation has awarded Character Education Grants that some schools have used to fund Responsive Classroom training. See their website for time line, guidelines, and past recipients.
- The Character Education Partnership has recognized a number of schools and districts that use the Responsive Classroom approach as National Schools of Character.
